At our instituation, RRTs serve as a way to have all available personnel arrive at a patient’s bedside to help make the appropriate clinical decisions about how to best treat patients who are having acute management needs. An RRT can be called by any member of the care team who is concerned about acute changes or a clinical decompensation.
